Since the Germans were the ones to start invading other people, they were developing weapons and an army a long time before the Allies were. Hitler caught people off guard with his breaking of the Treaty of Versailles and with the strength of his army. He had a magnificent army and he had very good generals that helped him win battles. He was very influential with his great speeches and his ideas of superiority. Many people listened to him and followed him because he was very convincing and because he hid the evil, horrible truths of what he was doing from them. They were willing to fight, die and work for Hitler because they thought that his cause was good and that they were doing the right thing. He was able to build a large army and have many people working for the war effort because of this.

In order to pay the payment due to the other countries because of World War I, the government hyper inflated the money so that they could pay for it. This caused many problems and at one point, the inflation rate was 4.2 trillion marks: 1 US dollar. That is very insane. In the early stages of World War II, hyperinflation had left the mark nearly worthless but not as bad as before the war.
